Screening day 2015!

Surgical screening day 2015!!! 

Surgical screening/Speech therapy screening and  speech therapy started at 8 am today! 60 patients arrived for surgery consultations... Free life changing surgeries! The repair of the child's cleft lip improves their confidence, ability to attend school, and participate in their community and have friends! The cleft palate repair is necessary to have any chance at clear speech ! 

60 patients were screened for surgery/49 scheduled! Dr. Williams added 2 days to the end of the surgical mission to accommodate more children! He plans to return between other missions in Philippines to do surgery on the 12 he had to turn away! 

We have 24 children for speech therapy! We're scheduled about 8 am to 6 pm... All children are seen twice a day!!

We will post pictures from the patient ward in a few days. We got to leave toys and books and gifts with them last night! Today we're making time to play games and read with them! One of my favorite activities!!
